What if, instead of running from the hardships of life, we could embrace them? What if we could accept our difficulties and be open to them, open to let them touch us and change us? What if the most radical thing we could do was to be ourselves, wholly encompassed and embraced by love? What if we, in turn, could embrace our differences, our pain, our joy, our doubt, ourselves, and our world with open arms to exemplify God as a man? It may be the most profound existence we could ever imagine.
